Accepted!

The big news is that, yes, we were accepted. So we are officially UIM Associate Missionaries! That designation as Associates just means that this isn’t our full-time work, but rather we have another job / ministry role, in addition to being part-time missionaries.

Thank you to all who prayed for Rosie to get well. The sickness seems to have run it’s course and she is back to being her lively self! So far no one else in the family or around the headquarters here have shown any signs of catching her illness, and we hope it stays that way. The babysitting situation has continued to be fantastic. Our girls have loved the young lady who has been watching them, which has been such a wonderful blessing and relief for Leanne and me.

On Wednesday we celebrated Mabel’s 12th birthday. That night we skipped the mealtime here at UIM in order to go out for dinner at Whataburger (first time we’d ever been there) and then dessert at Senor Churro. The burgers were good, but the dessert was great! We also visited a unique store, where Mabel picked out a fun cactus-shaped purse, which you can see in the pic below.

We have had many good and encouraging conversations with various missionaries who have come to be a part of the training time this week, and we are thankful for that. Tomorrow we have our last day of classroom training. Then from Saturday-Monday we get to enjoy a little bit more vacation time here in the beautiful warm weather, before flying out in the early afternoon on Tuesday. We are really looking forward to a few days together as a family, after the long days in class.

Prayer Needs

  • That the time together as a family from Sat-Tues would be filled with great memories made.

Thank you praying for us and with us!
